Requiem for a supernova.

Statement of intent: This will be the home of my ongoing project to create a new tabletop RPG system and setting to house it. As such, I'll be making references that rely on circumstantial knowledge, until I get around to detailing everything.
First off, this system is intended to reflect the setting, one in which skilled individuals are able to absolutely dominate those with less skill. The single warrior who can plow through mobs of common soldiers, the over-the-top antics of many anime/manga/comic book universes, that is what this system is working towards catering to.
Moreover, combat is supposed to be deadly, especially amongst low-powered characters. Two men dueling might kill each other with their first attack, but a duel between gods might last for days, crush a mountain, and result in the homeland of the one defeated collapsing into itself.

Due to the nature of this setting, it is being designed with many vastly varied locations in mind, from the atmosphere of Jupiter to the dyson spheres of Scutum-Crux to the chaotic Aether in which the material realm floats like a bubble.

Belief is a major part of this setting. Essentially, it was belief that created the universe, and it's belief that maintains the universe. This means that many things which are taken for granted, such as the law of conservation of energy, gravity, and even perception is all based on belief. If someone has sufficient Conviction and sufficient Will they can bend, or even break, these "rules". Given enough time and power, they can change the way the very universe works.
